ESGCO 2026 will be hosted by the Ettore Majorana Centre for Scientific Culture, located in the town of Erice where four restored monasteries offer accommodation to participants and provide an inspiring setting for high intellectual endeavour .

The Ettore Majorana Foundation, founded 63 years ago, embraces 127 schools and every year hosts in Erice thousands of researchers participating to workshops and schools covering all branches of science. The ESGCO 2026 meeting is supported by the International School on Complexity directed by Antonino Zichichi, Giorgio Benedek, Constantino Tsallis and Andrea Rapisarda.

Erice is a medieval town protected by an old city wall, settled up on a mountain at 750 meters above sea level. It is a very characteristic place that brings every visitor back in time. The ESGCO participants will have plenty of time to visit its numerous castles, churches and narrow roads, as well as to participate in the guided tours in nearby points of interest.

Erice is distant 15 km from Trapani and 80 Km from the Palermo Airport; it is not well connected by public transport, but this is not an issue since transportation will be arranged by the organization.
